CRV Members’ Council appoints two new Supervisory Board members

As of today, Angelique Huijben-Pijnenburg joins the Farmers Board of Cooperative CRV and the Supervisory Board of CRV Holding. She succeeds Tineke Vermeulen-Rehorst, who has served as a member of the Farmers Board and Supervisory Board since 2022. Bert Jansen has been appointed as a new member of the Supervisory Board, succeeding Freek Rijna.

Angelique Huijben-Pijnenburg (58) studied at Wageningen University and, together with her husband, runs a dairy farm with more than 80 dairy cows in Oosteind, in the province of North Brabant, the Netherlands. She is currently a member of the Farmers Board of ZLTO and previously served for twelve years on the board and Supervisory Board of FrieslandCampina. Her other governance experience includes serving as a Supervisory Board member of AB Brabant and as a member of the General Board of Waterschap Brabantse Delta. Earlier in her career, she worked for sixteen years as a policy specialist at ZLTO.

“CRV is an organisation that is close to farmers,” says Huijben. “At the same time, CRV is an internationally leading and highly innovative company that is more relevant to the sector than ever. Contributing to CRV’s strategy in challenging times gives me energy.”

Bert Jansen (67) completed various management programmes and has extensive experience in senior management positions within cooperative agricultural organisations.

He worked for Campina for sixteen years, including six years as a member of the Executive Board, and subsequently served as CEO of Avebe for thirteen years. Jansen also has extensive governance experience. He was chairman of the Supervisory Board of The Greenery and a member of the Supervisory Board of Wageningen University & Research. He currently holds several governance positions, including a seat on the Board of Royal Cosun.

“I don’t know the animal breeding industry in depth, but I do have extensive experience with cooperatives,” says Jansen. “The cooperative business model appeals to me because of the involvement of members and its focus on both the short and long term.”

Jochem van der Starre, chairman of Cooperative CRV and the Supervisory Board of CRV Holding, is enthusiastic about the appointment of the new board members. “Angelique and Bert bring a wealth of experience from a range of organisations,” he says. “We look forward to working with them to build CRV’s future and create value for CRV’s members.”
