CRV Fleckvieh

CRV’s Fleckvieh cows are popular among farmers because they are robust and long-lasting. Easy calving and a long productive life are, besides the high performance potential for milk and beef, the basis for efficient production. They produce a high amount of milk with a lot of fat and protein.

Fleckvieh cows are also known for their persistence and production increase. Furthermore they stand for a good fertility – both maternal and paternal. Due to their low Somatic Cell score they have a leading position in udder health and are also very suitable for robot milking.

“With the dual purpose Fleckvieh breed I have healthy animals with high components”
Johann Wimmer, farmer with 135 Bavarian Fleckviehs, Germany

CRV Fleckvieh programme

Fleckvieh is an alone standing breed and also partner for crossbreeding. As a dual-purpose breed (milk and beef), the red-and-white colored cows have a high-performance potential not only for milk but also for beef.

CRV’s Fleckvieh breeding programme uses all the European Fleckvieh populations to ensure that it sources the best available bulls.

CRV Fleckvieh shows strength after new index run

The August index run shows the strength of CRV's Fleckvieh breeding programme. Established daughter-proven bulls such as Wobbler and Haribo are maintaining their figures nicely, as are widely used genomic bulls such as Wüstensohn, Warlock, Wanko, and Virginia. In addition, a number of young daughter-proven bulls are improving their breeding values as more daughter information becomes available.
