With breeding valuesof 115 for locomotion, 117 for rear leg set (rear view), 115 for feet andlegs, and 112 for hoof health, he is the absolute top bull for legquality in the current line-up. And with 115 for total conformation, Flexor is also the highest-ranking type improver. He transmits solid udders with a good udder balance and rear teat placement. Flexor daughters are expected to develop into durable, strongly built, medium-sized cows with slightly sloping rumps and adequatebody condition. But Flexor offers more than just conformation. The Activator son transmits over 1,500 kg of milk with +0.10% fat and +0.10% protein, resulting in 142 kg combined fat and protein and €511 Inet. In addition, he scores nearly 600 days for productive life, and his daughters are expected to achieve more than 1,900 kg extra lifetime production of fat and protein. Flexor improves udder health, and his persistently producing daughters are expected tohave a lower predisposition for ketosis. He also increases milking speed and transmits the desirable beta-casein and kappa-casein protein variants.
Delta Flexor takes strong strides toward high production

In anatomy, the term ‘flexor’ refers to a muscle responsible forbending a joint. Powerful leg movement just happens to be the trademark of the new InSire bull Delta Flexor.

Full brother Delta E-Pace
A full brother to Flexor, Delta E-Pace, achieves 330 NVI with a similar profile, including 111 for total conformation and €526 Inet. However, when it comes to milking speed, he cannot quite match his brother. “Solid and strong” are also the words Arjan van Erp of Midwolder Dairy Farm uses to describe Delta Lauta, the dam of Flexor and E-Pace. “Laura is a powerhouse. She stands beautifully square on excellent legs and has a firmly attached udder,” he explains. Laura, a half-sister to the bull Delta Universe P RC, was classified with 84 points overall and is projected in her first lactation to produce 11,000 kg of milk with 4.06% fat and 3.92% protein in 305 days. The granddam of Flexor and E-Pace also entered production at Midwolda. “She too was a massive heifer that produced milk effortlessly,” Arjan recalls. Laura 3461 lost her second calf due to bluetongue disease. Nevertheless, in a single lactation lasting 472 days, she produced 19,000 kg of milk with 3.85% fat and 3.76% protein.
