The famous English biologist Charles Darwin introduced his theory about the ‘survival of the fittest’ in 1859. Loosely translated: the best animal adapted to its environment has the greatest chance of surviving and reproducing. Darwin’s theory still applies in 2025, although progress in 21st-century cattle breeding thankfully moves much faster. The numbers of the new InSire bull Delta Fitter PP speak for themselves. His daughters are expected to live about a year and a half longer than average and achieve an extra lifetime production of over 20,000 kg of milk. They are, in short, excellently adapted to the demands of today.

Top performer for longevity and efficiency

Feed conversion efficiency is key to profitability in dairy farming. FeedExcel bull Fitter PP fits this picture perfectly. He transmits over 1,700 kg of milk and 105 kg of fat and protein while combining this with a feed efficiency score of 107. With a +17% score, Fitter PP is the highest-ranking red-and-white bull for CRV Efficiency. His daughters will combine high production with good health. They are less prone to ketosis and have excellent udders and claw health. In Fitter PP’s conformation breeding values, the high scores for udder traits stand out. He passes on average body size, making his daughters well suited for cubicle housing systems.

Hardworking, persistent dam

Fitter PP’s high production breeding values are reflected in his maternal line. His dam, Sundy P, produced over 10,000 kg of milk as a heifer, with 4.11% fat and 3.46% protein in 305 days. Fitter’s granddam is now a second-calf cow and has already produced more than 25,000 kg of milk with 4.19% fat and 3.84% protein. The cow family traces back to the Canadian Splendor family, which also produced bulls such as Secure Red, Mr Savage, and InSire bull Autarky PP. The homozygous polled Fitter PP is a bull suited for breeding a herd prepared for modern animal welfare standards. He transmits the A2A2 beta-casein gene and, thanks to his unique bloodline, is broadly applicable, even for black-and-white breeders who want cows adapted to the demands of today.
